As some of you may have remembered from yesterday (and by yesterday, we mean way back in the day, on a Thursday), Neil and Dom are going to be at Wasteland Weekend in September.

"What, pray tell, is Wasteland Weekend," you Minions ask?

Wasteland Weekend is like Renn Faire, or Burning Man, except without all the hippy bullshit.  Imagine a combination of Fallout, Mad Max, and all the other post-apocalyptic fiction/cinema you love, come to life.

COME TO FUCKING LIFE.  BARTERTOWN.  IT LIVES.

So, if you're gonna be in the SoCal area on or around September 23rd-25th, drag your ass out to Wasteland Weekend and come visit us.  We'll be running the Last Chance Casino, the last casino in town before you hist what's left of the California coast.

For all you In Extremo fans out there, the end of February is gonna be a good month for you.

February 25th will be the release date for "Sterneneisen" ("Iron Star"), the upcoming album from the German folk-metal band.  Coinciding with this is the February 18th release of the single album entitled "Zigeunerskat".

The 12-track album will be made available in standard CD, limited Special Edition (CD + DVD ), limited Deluxe Edition (2 CD & DVD, belt buckle, Sprühschablone (I have no clue, though amazon.de lists it as being "200mm H x 137mm W"), flag, button, & sticker), and limited vinyl edition including download codes.  The DVD versions are a recording of last year's "True Years" anniversary concert.

I dunno about you guys, but I am super stoked for this.

And hence we, as the Hell's Gentlemen, decided, we will give Jason the (maybe) best night of his life, by taking him to Fuzzy Bear's and a strip club.

And much fun was had.

Here's to Jason "Goody Goodman" Graybill, and the fact that he has taken a step that we will probably (not for a while, gods hope) never take.  He's chained himself to one girl.  We give him major props for jumping on the marriage grenade before most of us.  May we all learn from his mistake/victory (only Time/the Norns can tell).

San Diego metal act AS I LAY DYING has announced that they will be headlining a US tour starting mid-February, according to their website.  The band will dragging along Winds of Plague and After The Burial, starting off the tour in Ft. In other news, you may have noticed that once again, we've gone kinda quiet.  Both Neil and Dom are unemployed, which theoretically could mean that we have tons of time to put together a full episode, but with the holidays approaching, don't get your hopes up too much.  We'll try to provide you with another halfsode of two before the end of the year, time permitting.

So, when people ask us, "What kind of podcast do you do?", we generally break into laughter.  But recently, after some people have oh-so-incorrectly described our podcast, we figured it'd do to keep you minions in line and remind you what we do.

Power Forge Radio is dedicated to bringing you brutal and righteous music.  What does that mean?  Well, first let's clear up something about being "brutal and righteous", hereafter refered to in this post as "B&R".  Being B&R does not mean we're being preachy and Christian.  In fact, neither of us is "Christian", and could probably just be labeled as "spiritual" if you deemed it necessary.  When we talk about B&R, we're talking about music that wants to rip your face off and rape your eardrums, and makes you want to dance around or throw random punches or makes you feel like you, the listener, is an ancient warrior preparing for battle against the hordes.  What horde?  Doesn't matter, there's a horde outside your city, and you're a righteous and awesome dude, and also a B&R dude, so you're gonna go crush some skulls.  That's the kind of music we're all about.  We like songs about the Old Ways, of past gods, of killing and maiming and drinking and puking and burning and pillaging.

TL;DR:  Sorry Mr. Jackson Glassier, but WE ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN/CHRISTIAN-INFLUENCED PODCAST. Never have been, never will.  And it's our podcast, which means we'll fucking swear and fucking curse, and fucking make jokes about raping our good friend Princess Buttercup McRapemuffin.  Why?  Because we fucking can.  The podcast is labeled "Explicit" for a fucking reason: this is how we talk, so live with it.  This is America, and more importantly, the Internet.  We're not the worse thing out there.  We also deal with a genre of music that is B&R, and doesn't hold back at all; why should we hold back?  We're just here for the beer and the music.
